Fue alrededor de 1996 ó 1997. Como teníamos unos días de descanso de nuestros atareados trabajos, habiendo reunido los suficientes dólares USA, a alguien de la familia, supongo que a mi linda esposa, se le ocurrió la feliz idea de ir de "vacas" a pasarlo a lo grande en el Polynesian Club de Florida (Estados Unidos). Fue una aventura genial y pudimos reírnos a gusto la abuelita Lucy, Liliana, Yenny, Leslie, Diego y yo (Carla era tan pequeña que no pudo viajar). Emociones a raudales en Disneylandia y un relax extraordinario en la piscina bajo el perfecto aire acondicionado que caldeaba el precioso departamento.
Nada de ideologías políticas. Nada de problemáticas sociales. Nada de peleas religiosas. Nada de complejidades económicas. Sólo disfrutar del carro automático danzando de Este a Oeste y de Oeste a Este del Estado de Florida. Sólo pasándolo bien y sin ninguna clase de complejos. Es la mejor manera de pasar unos días de vacaciones. Y nunca olvidaré que allí, en el Polynesian Club de Florida, Estados Unidos (y quien se moleste por ello peor para él) pasamos unos de los días más agradables e inolvidables de nuestras existencias.
